Week 5 EDUC 5313

 Part 1 I chose to look at the article titled "Professional Development with Universal Design for Learning: Supporting Teachers as Learners to Increase the Implementation of UDL" written by  Stephanie L. Craig, Sean J. Smith & Bruce B. Frey. In the article they address a quasi-experimental study of the effects of a professional development program on teachers’ implementation of the UDL framework (Craig et al., 2019). Week 4 EDUC 5313

Part 1 Magic AI is something I am already familiar with. I used the DESE standard 6-8.WH.3.CC.A which is Analyze the rise and fall of classical civilizations to determine their significance to future societies. I then added into Magic AI to also incorporate ISTE standard 2.4.c. which is use collaborative tools to expand students authentic, real-world learning experiences by engaging virtually with experts, teams and students, locally and globally. The lesson provided by Magic AI does a great job of connecting both of the standards I asked it too use in the lesson. One improvement I would make is too break down the lesson more. When it comes to understanding the rise and fall of a civilization it helps to be more specific about what parts of GRAPES you are focusing on. In my opinion I do believe the lesson Magic AI created is rigorous. The lesson is definitely not for a single day. This lesson has a great overall finishing project but for an individual lesson it wouldn't work. On a ...
